Need to add, bit disturbing…creation tells a story but what the story contains is guesswork.
It is open for interpretation. Either he is simply a father, or perhaps he calling out for, or to his father. He looks surprised about something. Much emotion in his face. I didn’t have a story or something in particular for the viewer to think about. It is “disturbing” means that the image provoked a feeling from you.
I think artists want that. If he was caucasian, I wonder if a similar image and expression on the face would be ‘disturbing’ to you?
It is not a ‘leading’ question. I like the emotion depicted on his face. Calling him (it) ‘father’ gives him (it) a certain stature. Nothing consciously political intended here. Also, I didn’t plan this picture. This picture just evolved this way.
