I did this sailing-ship picture years ago on a piece of cardboard. Though it is primitive, I’ve always liked it, and find that it represents an optimism as the ship glides powerfully, full speed through the waves. The flags are flying childishly to the stern as the sales are billowing out towards the bow. The grandeur and confidence of youth.
How romantic indeed as long as it does not have a hidden cargo.
