Horace Greeley was an (anti-slave man) ‘Abolitionist’ in the 1850s in America, founded and was editor of the respected and powerful New York Tribune newspaper, ran for President and was a founder of the Republican party. This statue is on 34th street near Macy’s in NYC. The bird on his head was pooping. They should put a hat on him.
