I met this gentleman Salvatore who wrote this book. He said that as many as 15 huge tourist cruise ships visit Venice on any given day and that the
tourists don’t even get off their boats. They have swimming pools and restaurants and entertainment on board. The people living
in Venice are disgusted by these huge intrusive ships and they are leaving to live elsewhere. The population is decreasing every week.
This book “If Venice Dies” must explain it very well.
