This sketch, which I later colored in, is a fictitious view of the Hudson River heading west towards New Jersey. That particular ship is in many of my pictures as I see it going around Manhattan many times over the years. The lines are slightly graceful. One time I saw a man
playing bagpipes off the back of it as it went up the east river under a bridge I was standing on.
